WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Bluegrass is looking for an IT sales solution executive who has lived and worked in the UK for a number of years and has now returned to South Africa. You must have a track record driving business development in the digital or software solutions space. You will be focused on building and converting UK-based relationships and converting opportunities to drive revenue growth in the UK market from South Africa.

You should have a solid understanding of digital solutions covering web and mobile technology, as well as keeping abreast of latest industry trends. You will work closely with all the Bluegrass teams including the technical, project management; UI/UX, development; design and business analyst teams to support you to success.

If you identify with a “hunter” mindset, are goal-oriented with a proven track record in the tech industry within the UK with a good network, this role is for you. We are looking for someone who wants to take this role by the horns and, using their connections, industry knowledge and experience, build on a solid platform to growth revenue in the UK market from our South African HQ.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage the entire sales process from lead generation to closure
  • Facilitating pre-sales activities from initial client meetings through to proposal submission and pitch presentation
  • Build a pipeline of leads using a range of tactics and nurture leads into opportunities
  • Align with marketing strategies to drive lead generation
  • Converse with clients on email, calls, and LinkedIn and drive conversation to uncover if there is viable opportunity
  • Use creative strategies to finding possible leads through networking at key events, social channels, telephone and face to face
  • Ideate and collaborate with the business leaders and marketing to see how we can best leverage events and other activities to drive qualified leads
  • Ensure all relevant information is managed through the company CRM system
  • Create new proposals to a high standard to respond to client requirements or RFPs,
  • Identify which tools/databases we need to grow our business
  • Attend events including participation in panel discussions and speaking opportunities
  • Maintain accurate sales forecast and weekly activity reports, ensuring you are managing your sales targets.
  • Keep up to date latest technology trends across software development, web, mobile, digital marketing, UX/UI and cloud
  • Manage client expectations and be accountable for meeting all aspects of sales targets associated with new business development function
  • Maintain positive relationships with internal teams who support you in pre-sales activities

SKILLS REQUIRED

  • A degree or similar tertiary qualifications
  • Minimum of 3+ years of relevant working experience in solution selling, growth or sales role
  • Minimum of 5+ years living and working in the UK market
  • Outstanding communication skills supported by fluent written and spoken English
  • A successful track record in lead generation and solution selling
  • Demonstrated ability to manage the entire sales process to ensure delivery against key performance metrics, with a strong emphasis on new business sales
  • Confident, presentable and personable with a consultative approach to selling
  • Must have strong technical and business acumen to engage in solution discussions, ability to talk confidentially around managed services, custom application development, cloud technologies.
